today we went to watch i not stupid 2. thanks to the psg, who arranged for the movie screening. for only 7dollars. so it was quite worth it. we went in late, but nobody should go into a movie on time. all u see are commercials, what's the point rite? anwz, i wanted to buy this popcorn combo. but i din expect megan's mum to come and give us two vouchers to claim free popcorn and large coke. i mean, i din even noe her leh. i was jaz in her daughter's cca. well, i guess she's a kind soul. bless her.
anwz, back to the movie. itz not realli a sequel to the first instalment. jack neo and xiang yun reprise their roles as husband and wife and the two protaganists, Shawn and Joshua return to the big screen, but wif different personas. Joshua turned from the hardworking, sensible boy in the first movie to a gangster now who joins the triads with Shawn. he turns over a new leaf and gets back into the school after he was expelled and eventually at the end became an international fighting champion..however, it was shawn who had the most drastic change. from a small crybaby in the i not stupid 1, he is now a different character. the eldest in a rich family. he becomes rebellious because he had not received enuf TLC from his parents. how much 3 years changed him. his new character portrays him in a diff light. no more the goodie-two-shoes a la i not stupid 1 and homerun. he spikes his hair now and has pierced ears and carries branded stuff and all and is now a member of a gang, gets involved in fights with the teacher, robs and old lady and the list goes on...
oh well, i not stupid 2 is jaz a vv simple movie abt how impt families are to teenagers and that if parents dont show appreciation to their children and vice versa, the family wont be vv happy. it also tells us to praise each other more often. i quite enjoyed myself in the movie and i thought it was better than the first one.
if u have a little spare cash, u cld consider catching that movie.
