election fever has hit singapore. everywhere i go i see banners and flags and posters asking residents to vote for them...bedok, tampines, pasir ris, katong.
acty i get quite irritated. as im blogging now i hear the strains of the PAP's pre-recorded voice message in four languages asking ppl to vote for them for a better future.
i find the publicity methods very amusing and a bit old-fashioned. couldnt they come up with something more creative instead? lyk what david blaine is trying to do: hold his breath underwater for 9 mins while trying to free himself from 68kg of chains. lol. maybe not...that's suicidal. itz crazy. who knows, the world may lose another Houdini-wannabe illusionist.
that's not the main point. the main point is: can't these politicians think of more creative ways to publicise instead of printing banners, posters and flyers with tacky designs and corny slogans? i mean, lyk, common sense. look at how many ppl called in to support the ren ci abbot when he did those crazy stunts in the show. if they try to do something lyk rappel down the maybank tower or swim from changi to pulau ubin den of coz ppl will support them rite?
election fever is making me sick. i cant wait for those tacky publicity materials to be down soon. and why cant the internet be used to publicise? lol. im not taking any sides here tho...i cant vote anyway. oh and those moving lorries with the blaring loudspeakers? oh please. sounds lyk some high-tech karang guni...anw, singaporeans live in HDB flats so high up, dey cant hear what u have to say anwz...
better get back to studying. two heavyweights tml: chem and geog. im counting on chem to deliver my a1 for sciences, along with bio. today's paper was really hard. and with the a1 for ss hanging in the balance, i need to do really well for geog.
wish me all the best =)
