didnt expect australia to win by such a big margin. esp since they were trailing until the last 6mins. but the last and second last goals were nice tho. the asian in me tells me i should support japan, but the epl/liverpool fan in me tells me i should support australia coz of harry kewell. i ended up supporting japan. im sorry pool, i cant weigh u above sushi, tempura and teppanyaki. but im still a lfc fan. have to support japan mah. since no chinese would be supporting jap, that means 1/4 of the world's pop is against them oredi. plus the south koreans oso, japan doesnt have many supporters. what's more, im sure the europeans would be supporting the ang mohs, so i guess that i should support japan, for reasons more compelling than miso soup and chawanmushi. i watched the full 90 mins for the czech rep and i must say czech did a vv good job. at least quat-finals i hope. usa is acty ranked the 5th best team in the world. fifa's ranking system is flawed. im sure. no wonder singapore is the highest-ranked team in SEA. totally impossible. i din catch the italy game but im sure it was quite an expected result for the azzuri.
time for me to predict the scores. so far i've only got one match correct. that was the 4-2 win by germany. haha. my other predictions were england 2-0 paraguay, holland 2-0 serbia and czech 3-1 usa. all wrong. but kinda close.
so here goes nothing, i say:
here's some extra info. for the korea vs togo game, fifa is closing the roof of the stadium, so there's gg to be a massive greenhouse effect and the whole place is gg to be like a sauna. the koreans arent used to the heat but the togolese are used to tropical climate. so togo might spring a surprise. but seriously, togo have no chance. their coach quit before the world cup and yesterday came back. the whole team's screwed up. korea to win
