starting from thursday, i went to church at night to watch the full dress rehearsal of Tears in Heaven. it was quite disastrous to be very blunt, but it improved exponentially the next day. not the point. anw, for the actual TiH on Good Friday, we had a huge bunch of ppl, the entire church was packed, more or less, and it was very, very encouraging to see so many youth not just come, but get saved as well, more than the adults. but the point is not the age of the ppl saved, rather it is the very fact that we will be adding to the ranks.
is God really bringing a revival to us? i would certainly hope so, the question that lingers is how do we continue on from here, what do we do from here. suddenly, to a youth group of barely 30, 11 new ppl have been added, that's almost a 50% increase. it's huge, humongous, more than we ever expected! it was just fantastic.
i am really starting to enjoy and look forward to going to church. no longer shall i take it for granted. it is something to be cherished. growing up, i never thought much of going to church. for as long as i could remember, i went to church every sunday. it reached a point when i just didnt want to go, sunday morning cartoons seemed more enticing than sunday school. i remember a few easters ago, i feigned sickness and didnt go to church. now i just cant imagine not being able to go there. it has nothing to do really, with having so many new salvations or whatever reason you could think of. the fact of the matter is, your friends are there. funny how you can grow up with this bunch of ppl, and only become really close friends when you're in your late teens. more importantly, the church is the house of God. where it all happens. it begins in church, but it doesnt end there.
i enjoy going to church now. i enjoy even more God's presence everyday.
thought of the day: why must a groundbreaker have an impact on society?
