among all the shows my favourite was of course the alumni play. it was moving, a very simple story presented in a very abstract yet personable way. the alumni's acting skills were of course, legendary as usual, and they definitely lived up to expectations. the story about a father not being able to move on from his wife's death and stagnating the whole family's progress in life and a 16-year old's rebellion, frustration and confusion at his father's and sister's reverence for an unknown mother portrayed in a very real and moving fashion. it was great!
of course, aside from the plays, another highlight of going for the show was seeing friends and teachers again. i saw seniors from previous batches, teachers, batch mates and juniors. it was great to be able to meet up and catch up. mr choo especially is living it up since retiring last year. he's been to new zealand, alaska and greece! arrrgh. he has a great life.
that's all for me for xiangying. i would talk about h3 econs but i'll leave that for some other time.
