i just realised on friday how much (or how little) time is left to the promos. 6 weeks! which is 42 days which is not a lot of time. i've actually been shaking my legs since common test ended. which is 7 weeks already. so i have been slacking for a longer time than i have left to mug for promos. nice. i had orginally intended to start only next week, but i guess i decided to bring forward the commencement of mugging to this week since i am feeling quite shaky, especially for chem and maths.
it seems that there's no more breaks after this week. so it will be three solid weeks of lessons before breaking for the holidays, where even more mugging is in store. jc sucks. june and sept holidays are meant for mugging, unless u are either super pro, super kiasu that you've finished everything beforehand, or super heck care. i am none of the above.
it almost feels as though i just had a one-week break because of national day, which flew by very, very fast. so it feels like the beginning of a new school term. i am dreading a new school term, expectedly, however, after seeing how the class bonded over the class adventure camp, i am excited to see how the newfound dynamics and camaraderie carries on into the classroom, whether it will have a sustained impact or be merely a flash in a pan.
in other news, i've discovered how much time can be wasted watching useless videos on youtube. i spent 3 hours on friday night surfing through youtube, watching everything from racist made-in-singapore videos, a malaysian insulting his national anthem, some random guy insulting hillary clinton, kim jong il rapping, some really good singer who got signed by justin timberlake's record company, and so on. youtube is terrible. dont get stuck on it.
i do hope to be able to watch rush hour 3 soon. i simply cant wait. i found to my delight in my bag, a rather old '$2 off' coupon for gv cinemas which is still valid (until 1 sept). haha. looks like i might just be able to get myself a $5 movie ticket to watch Inspectors Lee and Carter make fools out of themselves in Paris, France.
Talking about Paris, i do hope to visit there some day. i regret tremendously, giving up french in sec two in pursuit of more time for council and cds. however, as they say, you gain some, you lose some. i am determined to start learning french again, possibly during my army time, over the weekends i guess.
im done with my random espousing on random issues that just pop into my head. i shall leave with a really interesting quote found in the Straits Times' Life! section, i dont know who to credit it to coz i din bother to look, but i guess it was a famous person:
"in the first half of your life, do everything without fear. in the second half of your life, do everything without regret."
