i went kayaking yesterday with the youth. it was my first ever kayaking experience, and i have to say that i did enjoy it. i was admittedly nervous in the beginning, what with all the recent drowning incidents recently. however, it wasnt long before i realised how safe and stable the kayaks were. not a problem at all. two hours on the bedok reservoir passed real quick and all of us got burnt till we were red and crispy. kayaking was a good experience. i have a good mind to join a sea sports cca in uni, after regrettably missing out on joining one in RJ. i've got to get myself a good sunblock when the time comes...
anw, today i got myself a new phone! yes, finally, after soooo long. but i changed my number also, so that's got to be settled. i do like my new fone but it's white, sadly. the black version looked better but the shop just didnt have it. haiz. well, no complaints...it has a good free 513MB sandisk to put songs in, so i guess i shouldnt grumble too much. and it's a sony ericsson. i may be stirring up a controversy, but i do like sony ericsson better than nokia, which, i feel, are really the only two brand worth getting. however, i dont mind a dopod or an O2.
oh, also got myself a new pair of sandals. i needed a pair of sandals for kayaking, and also coz my only remaining pair of slippers finally gave up and died last week. nice billabong slippers they were...i saw a really nice, cheap pair of slippers for $9 and i was so tempted to buy them. (it was at ip zone, but it didnt have the logo) but i decided to go back later on to get it.
nothing much to say now...i guess i shall return to composing my essay, which, i have absolutely NO inspiration...haiz.
here's a nice scripture that was read out in church today:
Psalm 121
A song of ascents.
I lift up my eyes to the hills—where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD watches over you— the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life;
The LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
