patience is a good virtue to have. over the course of my 17 years, i have encountered people who have served to stretch my patience to its limits and test its boundaries. no doubt, there will be many more to come, as i enter NS, uni and the working world. 17 is still pretty young, aint it? and no doubt people have needed patience with me as well.

fact is, the world is not all that it should be. in a perfect world, nobody would need to work, except for my servants. i would stay in an emerald island set in a cerulean sea, staying in a mansion wiht 124544969 rooms, an olympic size swimming pool, an indoor jacuzzi, a billiards room, a home cinema, a 16-lane bowling alley, a tennis court and an underground garage with all the BMWs, Lambourghinis, Ferraris, Aston Martins, Rolls Royces, and Lexuses you can count (notice i left Merc out), well, some people actually have that already. but they're just overly blessed...

Oh, and in a perfect world, there will be no PW and no chemistry. Bio would not include evolution, DNA and Genomics, Genetic Variation and Organisation and Control of Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic Genomes. Econs and GP will be compulsory subjects and there would be no deadlines for tutorials. there would be no need for school of course, since all information would be available for download by scanning the iris. Schools would be educational institutions where people hang out with each other, to talk, and develop 'social and interpersonal skills'.

Most of all, in a perfect world, everybody would be nice, friendly and funny, though not characteristically uniform, or else personalities would be very bland. people who are unreasonable, cynical, constantly critical, irritating, annoying and downright disgusting will be non-existent.

Alas, the world we live in is imperfect. (MPC, Oligopoly, and Monopoly) and this is the reality we face. i shant wax lyrical about utopia because, search and find as we might, utopia does not exist in this reality. a utopian society would never exist in this world. (tho some say Switzerland is one, but i must say the lack of a beach and warm tropical sun are major negatives)

Thank God for inventing patience, and self-control. without which this world would be a much more terrible place than it already is. although there are people (and PW) who will always be out there to annoy you and stretch you to your ends, patience and self-control will overcome all. as the chinese say: 忍一时，风平浪静；退一步，海阔天空。how true that is.

although at the moment, i really wish some people would vanish from my life. Oh Lord, help me to love my enemy.
