this is a wonderful poem, especially considering who wrote it:

Life, as the Darwinist sees it
is of mere existence
or concoted significance at best.
Its the passing of space and time
initiated on impulse.
He saps himself of joy and splendor
by the theories of his imagination.
Its like a colorful picture,
captured in black and white.
Life gone down the gallows.
What a tregedy!
Life, as the opportunist sees it,
is of a fluttering butterfly.
What he has is beatiful,
he cherishes and aspires.
He takes life by the day!
He sees suns as stars and peace as bliss.
But his case is even sadder than that of the Darwinist.
He tries so hard to look at the bright side,
but yet did not ever realise that what he needs,
Is just to say a simple prayer.
What a tragedy!
BUT, life, as a child of GOD sees it!
Is of purpose and of significance,
a warm embrace of love,
too profound to put in 26 letters.
Pure peace and joy!
A knowing that
someone died for you.
You need not try nor earn,
Just look at your back
and he is always there.
There to catch you when you fall.
In him all is never less than a rainbow,
with a pot of gold at the end i must say!
All you need to do, my friend,
is to say a little prayer.
Say a LITTLE prayer..
