what a day i had!
firstly, i woke up at 645am today (school started late today at 930), with this overwhelming urge to pee, and everybody knows that i hate to get out of bed before it's wake-up time, so i was pretty grumpy about having to get up to answer nature's call.
secondly, when i was packing up getting ready for the day, i realised, to my horror (actually mild enjoyment) that i couldnt find any of my exercising shorts. (1 RJC, 1 Nike and 1 Surfers' Paradise) which could be used for PE. despite my frenetic searching, i was unable to locate a pair of usable shorts for PE, therefore i decided to give an excuse that my knee was injured due to spring cleaning. (in actual fact it was, though nothing so serious that i couldnt run around playing handball)
the first two incidents were besides that point. the real point is that my dear mother took off today with my phone, because she thought it was hers. and i use a sony ericsson while she uses a nokia. so while i was frantically searching for my shorts, i was looking high and low for my handphone as well. when i was calling to hear for the vibration, mummy picked up and said, "hello?". imagine my amusement/relief/irritation at hearing that. mummy, oh mummy. in the end i had to do without my phone for the whole day.
so anyways, school was rough as well. Chem lecture test was unforgiving. difficult would be an understatement. although i highly suspect that i would not be saying that if i had actually studied real hard for the test. after the test, i was greeted by a very mindless, irritating comment that really pissed me off, and made me very, very irritated. that aside, there was also maths tutorial a la extended version. i nearly died. it was in the afternoon, everyone was very down after chem, and tired, and looking forward to the end of the day and chinese new year. but tutorial dragged on and on and on. there was some welcome relief when mr chan announced that he would only be doing Basic Questions for tutorial 12A2 and even further relief when he effectively breezed through the painful last question to say, "OK, you guys can go now". it was pure bliss.
more bad news ensued after school when i was told that my passport-sized photo used for the chingay volunteer tag was REJECTED. REJECTED!!! chingay has been boiling my blood for the past few weeks already. i shall complain about them at a later date. so anw, the photo was rejected and i have to make a trip down to their office tomorrow.
nevertheless, one bright spark is the new look of my room, or rather, the house. we got a new sofa (with a recliner, yay!) and we didnt want to throw away the old one, which by the way, has been in use for 10 years and is still going strong. so anyways, the three-seater got put at the balcony area, where i can now sit down and enjoy the amazing view of the sea and Changi Airport and my room and my brothers' room got one armchair each. so now i got an armchair in my room (yay). got rid of the disgusting old computer table too. now my room feels like a real room.
three more days to the end of the Year of the what is it? Pig? Chicken? cant really remember...year of the rat is coming. Great. Chinese New Year, a bittersweet annual ritual of relative-visiting, hongbao-collecting and self-gorging. and not to mention the 5-day weekend!!!
