as expected, CTs have come and gone and the jury is still out as to how well i've done for the most recent exam, let's hope it's an improvement from last cts, though i am rather apprehensive.
back to lessons and naturally teachers being teachers have embarked on their favourite hobby: stressing students out. dear mr chan gave us a reality check when he showed us the schedule for the term. 9 weeks to go to school holidays, week 10 is exam week for h3 and gp, and in between there's ndp week and a youth day to boot. which effectively leaves around 7 weeks of lessons, give or take before prelims come.
oh well, that's the life of a JC student. amid all the 'fun' and 'games', there lies an inevitable major challenge, which happens to be only the most important examination of one's life, the A Levels. i can do it, im strong. :P already there seems to be a mellowing of the attitudes and spirits of the J2s, after school, one may witness the benches located all around school occupied by earnest, hardworking students already beginning on their quest to top the cohort. suddenly fewer people are sleeping in lectures and beginning to read ahead. yes, this is the awakening of the RJ mugging spirit that has been lying dormant for so long. haha. time to hop on the bandwagon! well, maybe not yet, coz im really tired after staying up to watch spain beat germany in the euro 08 final last night (or this morning, for those who want to be technical about it)
contrary to popular opinion, the final was NOT BORING. in fact, i thought spain's passes were so beautiful that it seemed like the commentator said, 'a beautiful orchestra. although more goals would have been good for the fans. nevertheless, although spain fluffed a few chances, all it took was one well-converted chance by Liverpool's indomitable Fernando Torres to win it for Spain and end their 44-year title drought. what a great time to be spanish, i guess. hopefully this winning streak will carry on for Liverpool in the EPL where Torres will score more match-winning goals and Liverpool's other Spaniards, Pepe Reina and Xabi Alonso will up their game. and where the Spanish manager, Rafa Benitez, can take a page out of his countryman Luis Aragones' book when plotting title-winning campaigns.
in the meantime, i am very tired and i shall go and sleep now.
after checking facebook of coz...
