this song has been playing over and over and over AND over again in my head...
back from The Great Food Extravaganza, basically an event inspired by the wonderful Taiwanese classic, 《食字路口》. i think the guys had a lot of fun walking around, looking for food. it brought me back to my secondary school days where Amazing Races were all the rage and i took part in more than my fair share of them.
the whole event made me realise what a treasure trove of food the Katong/East Coast area was. i mean, the whole enclave was teeming with food outlets hawking food of all shapes and sizes, and of all tastes and textures. it was just mind-boggling how many food establishments there were and how come i never really noticed them around before.
so sleepy. the army has screwed up my body clock. once i was a nocturnal creature, sleeping the day and wide awake at night, now i struggle to string together a proper line of thought after 9.30. it's unfortunate that the army is so mind-numbing. just follow, don't ask so many questions. it kinda kills off any attempt at showing some creativity or even the slightest bit of dissent. another song haunting my head: You Found Me by the Fray
I love the chorus:
lost and insecure, you found me, you found me. lying on the floor, surrounded, surrounded why'd you have to wait? where were you, where were you? just a little late, you found me, you found me
