block leave! block leave! block leave!
so good to be away from the dreaded camp i know as Sungei Gedong. As far as i am concerned, this block leave will be the longest period i'll spend at home since i enlisted. home is pure bliss. army makes you appreciate your humble abode, after making you spend time in even more modest conditions.
went for MFA interview today. quite a harrowing interview really, got roasted coz i failed IPPT and didn't get into command school. thought i botched up the interview, but i'm going for the second round tomorrow. so, hope everything goes well.
i've rediscovered the joys of walking aimlessly down Orchard Rd. i realised i havent been there since it had undergone the $40m renovation. nothing impressive really, no major changes or overhauls, but very thoughtful, interesting additions to spruce up the whole place. it feels good to walk around Orchard after a downpour, on a Monday evening when most people are at work or on the way home. Orchard isn't always so crowded after all.
dont feel like blogging now, shall do so at another time...
